Why Cats are better than dogs

I don't dislike dogs,i just think they are really annoying. For example i have a Bichon Frise and he is the most annoying thing in the hole world. He is hyper, barks at everything and he is dumb. He also ate my coach tennis shoes and has ruined a lot of my cloths. He also will only eat dog food out of a can.

My cat can also play fetch and my dog is a dog and he can't even play fetch.

Only nine more days till school is over and i am exctieddd!!!! Its a bitter sweet moment graduating highschool. Pretty much everyone that i talk to just wants everything to be over with and just go away to college. If you think about it though this summer is the last summer that you will most likely hang out with that group of friends that you hung out with everyday highschool. When you come back home from college its going to be werid because you and all of your old highschool friends have changed. Your best friend that you had all through out highschool becomes a stranger. Hopefully that doesn't happen but from alot of people that are in college it has happened to them.

This summer is going to be the last true moments with your high school friends so live it large! Plan a road trip or go camping. Do something fun that you will remember your highschool friends for the rest of your life.

For future seniors i suggest spending as much time with your friends as possiable and just have fun. Do stuff that you wouldn't normally in your past highschool years and have FUN. The one thing that i do regret this year is that i worked my weekends away. I still had fun and hung out with friends afterwards but i missed out on alot of stuff.

I know that everyone says how bad and annoying highschool is and its true. But these are you last years with the friends that you have spent the marjority of your life with so stop complaining and have fun!

The Beastie Boys!

For those of you who do not know the Beastie Boys that are a rap group from Brooklyn, New York. The group consisnts of MCS Mike D, MCA and Ad rock.

The Beastie Boys is my favorite hip-hop group and i have been listening to them for ever. I can remember when i was little my dad use to secrely putt on the License to Ill album when my mom wasn't home because if she found out she would kill my dad.

The Beastie Boys have produced 7 albums and there new album is going to be out in May, 2011. They have currently sold 22 million albums in the U.S. and 40 million worldwide.

My personal favorite is Liensed to Ill. This the first hip hop LP to top the 200Bilboard charts. It is Columbia Records' fastest selling debut record to date and sold over 9 million copies.



This is my favorite ablum because the is literally one song of the album that i do not like. Its a really fun album. That i think is about being young, wild and crazy.

The Beasite Boys won three grammys for their work. They won Best Perfomence for a rap goup or duo for their hit Intergalactic in 1999, Best Alternative Performence for Hello Nasty in 1999, and Best Pop Instrumental Album for The Mix up in 2008. They have been voted #77 in The Rolling Stones for 100 Greatest artisit of all time.


It would be a my dream to see the Beastie Boys live. They are my number one band that i wish i could see live.

Genetic Engineering is it morally right?

Genetic Engineering is direct human manipulation of an organism's genetic material in a way that does not occur under natural conditions. In other words it means that you can basically control how a baby can turn out. You can put what kind of hair color, eye color and can prevent your baby from having a genetic disease.

The Good!
-Gene therapy is used to treat genetic diseases at the molecular level by correcting whats wrong with the defective gene.
-Possible to make diseases not as bad

The Bad:[
-Genetically modified organisms
A)Scientist can create plants animals and microorganisms by manipulating the genes in an unnatural way
B)GMOS can spread and then breed with normal organisms and then create a hole new unnatural species
-A Scientist would be playing "god"

My personal opinion is that i think Genetic Engineering is a good idea to help treat or prevent genetic diseases that could one day kill your child but i don't think that it should be used to play "god". I don't think that we should mess with how we are suppose to look or create new organisms that are not natural. We shouldn't be able to create the "ideal" human. If you think about if we were able to then everyone would be the same. There would be nothing special or unique about an individual. Life would be BORING.

If you are a christian or not, morally we aren't ment to create a super human or animals. I think that we should let it occur the natural way, not scientifically.

Facebook:good or bad?

Like basically every teenager i log onto facebook just about everyday. But the question is "is it bad or good"?


In my opinion i think that facebook is a good thing, i think that it could be a negative affect on your life if you use it the wrong way. Its nice to keep in contact with those family members that you don't see often and keep in contact with friends after highschool is over with. And you can share videos and pictures with friends and family. Many people say that facebook is a negetive way of communication because studies have shown that regular facebook users would rather communicate on facebook then in person. I do admit that facebook is a major distraction from my homework. Its also annoying when you have that one person who posts status about every single thing that they did that day. My uncle is a perfect example of that kind of person "Today Robin and I went on our three mile jog and we are now making our traditional Friday night low carb pizzza with basil". Cyber bullying is also a major issue. Facebook is the cyber bullying playground. Teenagers so easily will post a negative comment on a picture or wall and not realize the damage that they did to that person. It also makes bullying easier because kids can hide behind a screen and not face the person they are bullying. Over all i think that facebook is a good thing, just don't be stupid and say or post pictures that you would want your mom to see.

Dealing with Divorce

Statics show that 49 percent of married couples will get a divorce and my parents contribute to these statstics. My parents were officially divorce when i was four and my sister was two. I dont really remember my parents ever been together so i have adapted to the divorce life well. For those of you who parents may me seperated or parents are currently going through a divorce, your not alone. I have personally never experenced going through divorce as a teenager, but i would imagine it would be more emotionally painfully because you actually know whats going on.

You should never blame the divorce on yourself, you may feel like its your fault but its actually not. Realistically its your parents issue not yours.

Also do not choose sides with parents. This has been by biggest issue growing up. I would one day be on my dads or moms side and then in the end they would always just get into a huge fight and i would get caught in the middle.

Don't listen to your parents when they vent to you about they other. Some information your just not spose to know and you don't want it to affect your relationship with that parent.

Visit your mom/dad on the weekend! I know on the weekends we all want to hang out with our friends but take a saturday or sunday afternoon and hang out with them. You don't realize how much they miss not seeing you everyday.

My final suggestion is don't let divorce reuin your life. Talk to you parents, if you are struggling to adapt to the situation.

Warped Tour 2011!!!!!!

Only 138 days till Warped Tour! Which will be July 20th at the blossume music center. Why is it at blossum instead of the tower city amphitheater this year? This is beacause they are tearing down the amphitheater and putting up a casino. Some of my favorite scremo bands that are going to Warped this year are Of Mice and Men, A Skylit Drive,Dance Gavin Dance, Miss May I and We Came as Romans.

If this is your first time attending Warped Tour this year here are some helpful tips:

-Don't wear flip flops! Your feet will get black and get stepped on
-Bring at least 20 dollars with you. Pop is six dollars a bottle, water is five and a hamburger is eight dollars.
-Don't go into the "mosh" pit. If you think you can mosh then go right a head but i don't recommend going into one that you don't think that you can handle.
-Find the Free Water Fountain.
-Dont wear your favorite outfit. By the end of the day you are going to be covered in grossness so wouldn't suggest wearing your favorite cloths.
-See bands that you have never heard of, never know might find your new favorite band.
-In General, just have a good time. Warped tour is one of my favorite days in the summer and i recommend to go to at least one Warped Tour in your life.

This is song is one of my top favorites by Arcade Fire. For those of you who do not know who Arcade Fire they currently won album of the year for "The Suburbs". I think that this quote means about someone who is moving on with life, doesn't really know were their going and how its going to turn out but their fine with it. This quote describes how i feel about life right now because i am a senior now and i just want to get on with life. I have had fun here at Avon Lake High School but to be honest i am done. I am ready to move on meet new people and experience new things in life. I am kinda nervous for college because i will be competely out of my comfort zone but i think i am ready. I mean we can't stay in our little bubble that we call Avon Lake forever.

Wal-Mart Conspiracy Theories

Button that Wal-Mart worker wear, do they symbolize something else besides a friendly smile? "The All Seeing Eye" is a symbol that was created by the Mason. Five years ago a conspiracy theory thated that the Masons created Wal-Mart to pronote the idea of Socialism. Another conspiracy theory is the symbol of Illuminati. Illuminati goal is world domination. Wal-Mart is said to symbolize this because many think that Wal-Mart is trying to control the world of retail. This theory is somwhat true because Wal-Mart prices are so low compared to their compeitiors. Many local grocery stores and other businesses have had to shut down because they could not watch Wal-Mart prices. It is also said that Wal-Mart is teaming up with Homeland Security to place monitors at the checkout lines that have Janet Napoliitano(United States Secretary of Homeland Security) sugesting that Americans spy on each other and report any "suspicious acitvity" to law enforcement and Wal-Mart employees. The Department of Homeland security would plave this viedo in 588 Walmart stories and in 27 states. My opionion of these theories is that i kind of think the majority of it is just someone who likes to find random thinks to rant about. I do think that Wal-Mart has closed a lot of business down beaucse other people cannont have low prices without completely going out of business.
